YOUR PRESENCE, THE BIGGER THE IMPACT

We are making a difference with your help!

There is so much poverty in the world but the good news is that we are making a difference with your help. In the past 17 years the number of kids dying from measles has dropped by 78%. 22 countries have cut the rates of malaria in “half” in 6 years. According to the World Bank, in 1981 over 50% lived in extreme poverty, but today is just over 25%.

There has been no generation before that has so many resources, and the ability to make the change! That’s what Save Sunshine Shelter Kids is helping to do! And we want to invite you to help us play our part over the next 15 years. It is estimated that it would take $175 billion dollars (116 billion pounds) a year to end extreme poverty. That is less than 1% of the combined income of the richest countries in the world. We can change the world, but it may mean sacrificing a little of the things that we have become used to. Thanks to donors of Save Sunshine Shelter Kids, we have more than 42 kids in schools across Uganda ranging from the kindergarten, primary, secondary and university. It is amazing to see the transformation enrolling the kids in schools brings. We have impacted many lives starting from the street children outreaches which is the core of our works, the shelters that secure and safe guard the lives of the boys and girls, the Cody Centre for young mothers gives a new beginning to many children among other programs that we do.

Reality we want to see continue to manifest

“Education is perhaps a child’s strongest barrier against poverty, especially for girls. Educated girls are likely to marry later and have healthier children. They are more productive at home and better paid in the workplace, better able to protect themselves against HIV/AIDS and more able to participate in decision–making at all levels.”

"We invite you to invite others:- your friends, your families, churches, schools to come join us and impact the world together, because together we are unstoppable."
